I live where art and social concience intersect in Los Angeles, California. I've was born and raised here, but spent some time living in Miami and Las Vegas only to run my liberal butt back home after a few years. My parents are well educated staunch left-wing nut jobs that raised my brothers/sisters and I with progressive ideals and a permissive family environment - I mean who reads Ginsberg's "Howl" to their 6 year old? It's still one of my favorites. I love my family and they did encourage me to have opinions - some of which I will share here and if you agree with me, or disagree with me I encourage you to say so. I am gay and yes, in my experience being gay in Los Angeles can at times be like the L Word & for the most part the girls here really are hot. It is Hollywood after all...

I've travelled extensively and continue to do so since I have a job that pays me to fly all over the US, and occasionally the world, for a few weeks every month. No, I don't work for an airline, but I do have a pretty cool job and in part this LJ will in part chronicle the adventures I have on those trips or running amuck in my city of Lost Angels.
